A robust HSES Management System has been developed and implemented in conjunction with the organisations workforce and in compliance with International best practice models as follows:

Successful handling of HSE matters is a line responsibility in Oil Search, requiring the active participation of all levels of management and supervision.The company maintains a number of detailed procedures, policies and documentation to identify systematically the hazards and effects, which may arise from its activities.
Oil Search maintains a number of plans for achieving HSE objectives and performance criteria. It also maintains procedures to assure that HSE critical facilities and equipment that it designs, procures, operates, maintains and inspects are suitable for the required purpose and comply with defined criteria.
Oil Search maintains detailed plans to identify foreseeable emergencies and crises. It regularly assesses the effectiveness of response plans by scenario drills.
